Mr. Francisco Luiz dos Santos, a professor at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (Brazil), attended the online Seminar on Local Development Planning for Recife that hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and organized by Shanghai Business School from August 4 to August 17, 2022.
Mr. Francisco has maintained close contact with SBS staff after the Seminar, and insisted on practical efforts to promote cultural exchanges and academic mutual appreciation between China and Brazil. Under his leadership, Shanghai Business School (China) and the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (Brazil) successfully held an online cooperation and exchange meeting and signed a MOU.
Dr. Francisco graduated from the Physics Department of the Federal University of Pernambuco. He initiated the “Electronic Nose” innovation project with a physics, chemistry and computing team, and has extensive research experience in digital olfactory market. In November 2022, Prof. Francisco was invited to give an informative lecture (Lecture No. 62 at SBS Lecture Hall) on The Digital Smell Market: Internet, Electronic Nose and Scent TV to SBS teachers and students, which involved positive interactions with the teachers and students. His research in digital market has enlightened and helped SBS students and teachers.
